My emotion does not really play into how I make political decisions. I am a scientist, biochemistry, I only believe in hardcore fact and logic. The reality of the situation here is, a fetus isn't officially alive until about the second trimester. They might become life eventually, but they aren't yet. Abortion just gives the government another thing to control. They take advantage of the situation. Also there are women who have to have the children of a rapist. Do you realize how traumatic that must be? I hold my position. Pro-Logic  |

You are talking about not killing something that isn't alive to begin with. These animals are already alive, and being treated horribly just so people can eat. It is completely relevant to this topic. You might assume that animals can't think or feel(they can), but even if that were true...neither can fetuses. They aren't even alive. They also don't even "think" or "feel" until closer to the moment they are born, however I only support abortion up to second trimester. You seem to have this human superiority concept going on, and that's fine. But if you expect me to want to ban abortion because of graphic(and sad) photos of non-living fetuses, you should also be against killing animals for food. You can't have your cake and eat it too. |

I'm going to have to agree with John Liberty on this one. I'm a biologist and I've worked with animals before. They have emotional reactions to everything you do. How do you think dogs become so attached to their owners? It's not instinct if that's what you think, because dogs have only been domesticated for 200 or so years. Before that they were wild. |

Right now I would be agreeable to allowing all abortions up to the second trimester (preferably the first) if all government funding was cut and insurance did not cover it unless the woman's life was in danger. And of course teenagers needing parental consent to get it done. This would be a massive improvement.. unless it brought down the number of abortions done each year... I can give many examples if I have to about how lawful hunting is helpful to the balance of things. |

The point I was trying to make with the deer hunting is that it is beneficial...the deer that were killed were eaten. It was fair game... the deer had a chance to run...the baby doesn't get to even try. |
