How much has the temperature risen over the last 100 years? I would appreciate an exact number with sites to back it up.

Due to having a very busy schedule lately... I have not had ti.e to extensively go over the information you have provided. Though when I briefly looked over it, I did not see any record of the climate change over the last 100 years. If it is there... where exactly is it? I have done some research on global warming... I don't argue with things I know absolutely nothing about. Based on my research its only been a minor change.... I am obviously no expert in the issue ...but in order for me to take this issue seriously... I need to know an exact number on how much it will rise every 100 years.
Thanks! ~DarkShadow

Here's a more direct/dumbed down answer to your question. earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Features/WorldOfChange/decadaltemp.phpWhile it may not seem like much, the entire atmospheric temperature shifting is not exactly a good thing. Also keep in mind these numbers are from 1890-1990. With more technology advancing, more particularly nuclear, it could severely damage our environment even further than those numbers.

Oh my goodness...our planet is a whole degree hotter than it was 100 years ago! I think it's time we start panicking and running around in circles! (For the ignorant Liberal, that was sarcasm). The reason Liberals' issues are so messed up, is because they focus more on how hot the earth is rather than more important issues.

Lol... nuclear power is causing it....I know for a fact that it isn't... my father works at a nuclear power plant and can even explain how its not heating our atmosphere. I don't argue with an expert on the issue.... one degree every hundred years ...that's not bad....I mean....I am assuming that you are an evolutionists since most people with your beliefs are...so my question to you is.... wont we just evolve several thousand years from now to withstand 10 or 20 more degrees? Lol

Lol If you have ever taken any kind of science at all you would know that water freezes at a certain tempature, and when ice is exposed to a tempature lower than that it starts to melt...what happens when all of Antarctica melts? All of that water raises the sea level by MILES(Antarctica is a giant land mass made almost entirely of ice, it's roughly the size of Russia). The raised sea level than proceeds to flood islands, and then later cities and towns. This is also bad because the native habitats that dwell on ice will die off. Your evolution theory won't work for this one because they will die off before they have the chance to evolve(which takes thousands and thousands of years).

I was just saying that for arguments sake... second... this is out of our control... even if the land does get flooded....we will find a way to survive. By the time this happens.... our technology will be so advanced that we will not face extinction.

If you are not an evolutionist, why are you using evolutionism as an argument? Because I am aware that most people that hold amazingdomos belief are . So you are making a generalization that all Liberals are evolutionists...First off that's not remotely true. Just like not all Republicans are Christian, not all Democrats are Atheist. I know several religious Liberals, in fact their religion is one of their main reasons for being Liberal. They do not believe in war, they believe that "God wanted strict laws to keep people in line" and the most asinine of all: "God chooses all our leaders, so we need to follow them without question because disobeying them is disobeying God." I don't know where that came from. Also, your argument holds no basis in reality in this argument. If you do not believe your own argument, how can you expect anyone to take you seriously in this debate? Debate him with your own beliefs, don't use a belief that you don't believe yourself to debate. If you can not debate him properly, tell him so. Don't run off and refuse to reply like you did on the Abortion forum, or use false arguments that you don't even believe yourself. Last of all, your argument was false anyway. Evolution doesn't just "magically happen" whenever a species is in trouble. It takes thousands of years to evolve. Also, you claim that the earth flooding isn't an issue because we will just "overcome it". People will die in a situation like that. A lot of people will die. You claim to think that every life is precious, which is your basis for your abortion arguments but yet you are willing to sacrifice lives so you can pump crap chemicals into your system and the environment. Also, the floods are the least of our issues. What if all the ice and polar animals die? That could unstable the delicate ecosystem of the world. I don't buy into a lot of the environment stuff myself. Electric cars do not help the environment. Neither does taking shorter showers. But it is undeniable that our actions are having an effect on our planet. To think otherwise is only foolish. When there are multitudes of scientific proof on the subject, and you don't read them, that's called denial.

When I made the statement on evolution...I made my entire argument illegitimate. 2. I did not run off from the abortion debate. I have not had enough time to sit down and do the research I necessary to respond. In the very near future there will be a response. Congratulations AmazingDomo... you won this debate. ~DarkShadow
