A mandatory label is a marketing license. In other words, a mandatory label is a license to trick people with help from the FDA. Get ready for Monsanto, General Mills, and DuPont’s unique twists on “GMO Free”.

Our founding fathers didn’t declare that we have a right to happiness. They declared that we have a right to the PURSUIT of happiness. We’ve turned pursuit into entitlement. Right to know coerces. Right to seek liberates”.

The individual patchwork of state initiatives gradually develops the wording, protocols, and oversights that work, and that’s the best way to arrive at solutions. Let innovative states jockey for the most functional system.

Government regulated labels are a joke.” He’s absolutely right, a sick joke with devastating consequences for well-intentioned consumers. Labeling will do nothing more than take the responsibility of knowing what’s in our food out of the hands of the consumer and put it into the hands of the federal government.
