Has anyone here read Atlas Shrugged? It is my favorite book of all time, and sadly everything that happened in the book is coming true. We are witnessing the death of the free market system and it is a bloody, slow, and agonizing death.

I have not read it, but I thoroughly enjoyed "The Fountainhead." Although the last couple pages were a bit too overtly preachy for my taste. I heard "Atlas Shrugged" is a fairly similar story.

I've heard that The Fountainhead is a bit preachy, but I failed to see the preaching in Atlas Shrugged. It was provocative, yes, but not preachy.
I think anyone who considers themselves a Capitalist should read Atlas Shrugged at least once. Actually, I'd highly suggest everybody read it at least once.
